A fucking eats meat she's left outside for days, gets super sick, but DOES end up contracting a tapeworm. But she tells A to contract a parasite, and that could hold the place of a baby. Z says she would give A a baby if she could but she can't right now, and it's just not in the cards for her right now. There are multiple emails to Zoe from Agnes w/o response, one of which contains the line, "Things have gotten worse since we last spoke." A is elated, and starts treating it like a real pregnancy in her emails to Zoe, which creeps Zoe out, and she leaves.

The reason for this from the aunt is, "people will be worse than this." If she broke the egg at all, then she would have to eat the entire egg. Her aunt used to make her hold an egg in a closet for hours to stay quiet. (3.5 there's another one Agnes tells of her childhood abuse. The contract gives Zoe full control of Agnes' life in every way (banking, personal, sexual, mental etc) There's a lot of, "I dont want to scare you," and " noooo, tell meeeeee you wont scaaarree meeee" *eye roll*īut Z finally tells A that she wants to own someone completely, and take care of them, and sends Agnes a FUCKING CONTRACT of their arrangement, which A signs. Things between A and Z get really dom/subby. A gets sent home that day, but has a new fresh outlook and feels like she did something to "earn" her eyes or wetf. It p obvious that it's super far out of A's comfort level, but she does it anyway. So Zoe mandates Agnes buy a red dress and red lipstick and wear it to work tomorrow. Zoe remembers her dad always asking, "what did you do, to deserve your eyes today?" and explains it to Agnes as like, being not only grateful for the things you have but also living in a way that makes the best of them. Agnes gives Zoe her banking info, and Zoe sends her $1000, and ask Agnes not to sell the peeler since it means so much to her. Zoe responds to that by offering to pay for Agnes' rent, and then moves the convo to instant messenger.

However, she's super broke and doesn't have any other option, but to sell the peeler. Anges shares with Zoe that the peeler was the last gift from her mother before Anges' mother disowned her for being gay.

The emails are long Anges and Zoe get into the details of why Anges is even selling something that seems so important to her. The story starts off with the writer thanking the local police department for access to the correspondence and giving the reader a heads up on why details in the correspondences are omitted for safety.Īgnes posts an ad in a queer forum selling a 2 century-old apple peeler that has been in her family for generations, and Zoe responds to the ad to buy it. I read it because I couldn't find a decent summary.
